As 2025 has come to a close, we look back on a year that was both impactful and rewarding for OMPT. Together with our partner institutions, admissions teams, and applicants around the world, we continued to strengthen reliable, fair, and scalable online mathematics assessment for higher education.
Below, we proudly reflect on what we achieved in 2025 and share a glimpse of what lies ahead.
In 2025, OMPT continued to grow as a trusted mathematics admissions solution for higher education institutions worldwide. We now support partner institutions in 9 countries and our tests are accepted for 301 study programs, representing a 50% increase compared to 2024.

We are proud to welcome six new partners this year and to further strengthen collaborations with institutions that have been working with OMPT for many years.

At the same time, we saw strong growth among existing partners, reflecting continued confidence in OMPT as a reliable and scalable admissions tool. While OMPT remains a market leader in the Netherlands, our international presence continued to expand, with increasing adoption across Europe and beyond.
OMPT’s global reach is also reflected in our applicant numbers. During the 25–26 admission cycle, 2,821 applicants from 114 countries completed their first OMPT test attempt. In total, 3,482 OMPT tests were taken, with an average of 1.23 tests per applicant.

These figures highlight OMPT’s role in supporting fair admissions across a wide variety of educational backgrounds and mathematics curricula.

Together, these numbers represent more than growth alone. They reflect the trust institutions place in OMPT and the opportunities created for students worldwide to demonstrate their mathematical readiness for higher education, regardless of where they come from or which curriculum they followed.
In 2025, we focused strongly on improving the student experience, operational efficiency, and exam integrity. Key updates include:
Students no longer need to manually type complex formulas. When an answer field is active, clicking a mathematical expression in the question automatically copies it into the answer field—making answering faster, more accurate, and less error-prone.
Launched in October 2025 under “My Questions”, this new feature introduces a closed practice environment with an AI Solution Bot. Students receive guidance, error explanations, and conceptual support, helping them better understand where they went wrong and why.
Drag-and-drop interactions have been improved to ensure a smoother, more intuitive experience for all students, across devices and accessibility needs.
Looking ahead, 2026 will be about refinement and reliability, both for institutions and applicants.
We are enhancing the registration workflow to better capture program selections. This will improve admissions accuracy and provide students with a clearer overview of their chosen study programs, creating a smoother and more transparent registration experience.
While OMPT tests have been actively maintained for years, in 2025 we formalized this work into a clear internal maintenance plan and a client-facing policy.
For 2026, this approach continues, supported by expanded documentation on test integrity management, including clear procedures for responding to potential test leakage.
None of this would be possible without the continued trust and collaboration of our partner institutions, admissions professionals, proctors, and the thousands of students who rely on OMPT each year.
Thank you for working with us to make admissions more transparent, accessible, and reliable worldwide. We look forward to continuing this journey together in 2026.
